Congratulations to our teams in Cup finals today both at the AUL Complex and the Oscar Traynor Road Complex.
Three trophies were won in the AUL this morning with wins for our DDSL Under 17 Premier team, Mark Melody's Under 13 Sunday 1 and Andy Bruton's Under 11C.
The fourth came via George Doyle and Tony Crannitch who guided our Under 16 NDSL Premier to victory in the NDSL McKay Cup final with a 3-1 win over close rivals Corduff FC this afternoon with two goals from Sean O'Connor and an og.
The 17's with Peter Keating Tony Bolger and Gavin Peers in charge had things all their own way with a very one-sided 7-1 win against Lucan United in the final of the DDSL PFAI Cup final with a hat-trick from Gavin Harney, two from Lee McKevitt and one each from Lee Kiely and Dylan Kelly. It was good to see captain John Barry lift the trophy as he along with Mark Murray Jordan Pitshou and others have suffered a lot of disappointment in finals over the years,
Lucan United were also the opposition in the DDSL Under 11 Brennan Cup final where Kyle Davis scored the all important winner for Andy Brutons team.
The Under 13 DDSL Donnolly Cup final was a very close affair with SKB having to come from a goal down to eventually get the better of Wayside Celtic 3-2 with Charlie Madigan getting two and Ben McQuirke scoring the third - well done to Mar Melody Mark Lambe and Scott Wilson.
