Congratulations to our Under 15 DDSL Premier team who became 2017 Ravenna European champions when they defeated BWB03 1-0 in the final thanks to a Darragh Burns goal after 4 minutes.
The scoreline could have been more as we missed numerous chances to add to the score and ultimately nearly paid the price as the opposition had two clear chances to equalize in the closing stages.
Full credit goes to all 17 players and management. The players had to win eight tought 50 minute games over the three days in temperatures in mid to high 20's but they were worthy winners beating teams from Italy, Bellarus, Slovenia, Malta, France, Czech Republic, Slovenia (again) and England to win the Tournament - their work rate never dipping and the football ability and togetherness proving decisive in the long run.
The full squad;
Kian Lacchia, Aaron Davis, Jack Tynan, Mark Morris, Jack Halligan, Ross Reynolds, Karl O'Callaghan, Sam O'Brien, Ruadhan Coffey, Jamie Farrell, Patrick Moore, Sean McEvoy, Ebookah Favor, Cian Warren, Sandip Chhantyall, Dwayne McCourt, Darragh Burns.
Jack Funge did not travel due to injury.
Management; Mick McCracken, John O'Connor, Gareth McMullen, Ken Donohoe.
