The 6th Academy Cup tournament came to an end on Sunday afternoon with Ajax emerging victorious after three days of fantastic weather, great crowds and brilliant football. This years event can be judged to have been by far the best tournament so far from the organisational point of view, the standard of the pitch and the enthusiasm and dedication of all Club members but the real criteria for judging the success or otherwise of a tournament of this standard can only be judged by the quality of football and there is no doubt that the quality displayed by the six teams taking part this year was of a standard not seen before and it is the quality of the football that dictates whether top Clubs like the Clubs performing this year will continue to be ameniable to be approached to return so as to keep raising the standard as we have done successfully over the years.
In reaching the final our own 13 Premier team proved that they are not out of place in such high class company and great credit is due to all the players and coaching staff .
DVD's of all games can be ordered through the Club office by email: admin@skbfc.com and they are €5 plus p &p per game.
