While the rest of us were being washed inside and out this evening in St Aidans our Under 13  2020 Airtricity squad are preparing for the upcoming season in the warmer climes of Argentona just outside Barcelona where they are competing in the Carnaval Cup - a tournament that the club has been invited to for a number of years now.

They came up against an absolutely outstanding Espanyol in their first game going down 0.3 but quickly got back to winning ways with a 4.3 win over FC Lahti from Finland - a scoreline that certainly flattered the Finns as the margin could have been much bigger.

A win tomorrow in their final group game against Swedish side Broomapojkarina will see them qualify for the next stage.
