Goals from Daniel Bergin in the first half and a second after half time from Byron Preston (pictured) were enough to move our Under 12 DDSL Premier team into the last 16 of the SFAI Sketchers Cup following a tight game on Saturday afternoon against Ringmahon Rangers at Ringmahon Park in Cork. Played on a pitch softened by a few days rain it was always going to be a tough battle but they stood up to the test and indeed could have had a goal or two more to show for their efforts against the home team for whom this was their first defeat of the season.
Ringmahon Rangers Under 16's made the reverse journey to Shanowen Road to play our Under 16 DDSL Premier team in the last 32 of the SFAI Sketchers Barry Cup where an excellent first half hat-trick from midfielder Ross Tierney confirmed their total dominance of the game and Ryan Cassidy added two more in the second half for a 5-0 win.
Our Under 13 DDSL Premier defeated Kells Blackwater 8-1 away in the SFAI Sketchers Troy Cup.
Our Under 14 NDSL Premier needed extra time to overcome Corduff FC in the SFAI Sketchers Goodson Cup at St Aidans winning 2-0 with goals from James Moloney and Robert Mahon.
Our 16 NDSL Premier team played Kildare Town at Shanowen Road in the last 32 of the SFAI Sketchers Barry Cup and dominated the game from the start but the sides were all square at the break - 1-1 - Ola Lawal the SKB scorer, four further second half goals from Davidson Okosun, Sean O'Connor, Gavin Lenihan and Jason Noone confirmed their superiority winning 5-1.
At St Aidans our 17 DDSL Premier side defeated Athlone Town 2-1 with goals from Jordan Pitshou and Ger Noone while Wayside Celtic were no match for our 18's going down 8-1 - both of these games were in the Leinster Youths Cup.
